DESCRIPTION:This is a way to focus on God – spirit, soul, and body. During these 40 days of fasting, CONSECRATION (the act of making or declaring something sacred), is as important as giving up food. For example, while fasting, turn off electronic devices such as phones, TV, computers, games, etc. Pray and meditate on the scriptures (found in the daily guide) each day between 12:00am (midnight) and 12:00pm (noon). Decide to abstain from foods altogether or from certain foods such as meats, sweets, bread, drinking coffee, drinking soda, etc.\nIF YOU ARE ON MEDICATIONS THAT REQUIRE YOU TO EAT, PLEASE EAT AND TAKE YOUR MEDICATIONS AS DIRECTED BY YOUR PHYSICIAN.\nFASTING SCHEDULE: Tuesday, February 28 – Saturday, April 8, 2023.\nThe “40 Days of Prayer and Fasting” daily guide can be picked up in the foyer area, or in the church office.\n
